Jay Costa
Democratic Leader
District 43 – Allegheny County
Senator Costa has been an unrelenting advocate for the families of Pennsylvania since he entered public service in Allegheny County. As leader of the Democratic Party in the Senate, he has been instrumental in positioning the party to make major gains in the 2022 election cycle.

Vincent Hughes
Democratic Appropriation Chair
District 7 – Philadelphia and Montgomery County
A leader in Harrisburg for the past thirty years, Senator Hughes has worked tirelessly for the citizens of the Commonwealth. In addition to chairing the SDCC, Senator Hughes is the Democratic leader on the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Tina Tartaglione
Democratic Whip
District 2 – Philadelphia County
In 1994, Senator Tartaglione became the fifth woman in state history to win election to the State Senate and in 2010 became the first woman to serve in Senate Democratic Leadership when she was elected Caucus Secretary. Now in her seventh term, she serves as Democratic Chairwoman of the Senate Labor and Industry Committee, and serves on the Banking and Insurance, Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, and Law and Justice standing committees in the Senate, as well as the bicameral Legislative Budget and Finance Committee and the Senate Committee on Ethics and Official Conduct.
